Chrome, Internet. Internet, meet Chrome.
Say hello to Chrome, from google. It is the world's most advanced (on a programming level) internet browser. Each tab you open in it creates an entirely new process. In that way, it can run on dual/quad core CPUs beautifully. Also, if you run into a fatal error on a web page, only that tab will crash, not the whole browser. It is in beta, but is already amazingly impressive.
Give it a whirl. My Guru forums mainpage loaded in 3ms. 700% faster than Firefox 3....

Is this a conspiracy? My son just told me about Chrome 10 minutes before your post. I had just finished downloading and went to the guru site to see this thread.
I'm trying it. But it will confuse my mom (she's 85) with the different tabs.

Yeah it's real fast I agree, but that is pretty much it really. Might be worth using fulltime when it comes out of beta period with all the plug-in, add-ons like FF.

Just a heads up, there's already some discussion about it in the off-topic section.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10321945
General consensus seems to be that it's still too much in beta to see any real use at this time. Hopefully, with the first non-beta release, they'll support extensions like NoScript and AdBlock which are both FireFox Addons.

if i get a google logo on each tab i open i'm gonna delete it seriously
it also says this
your settings for mozilla firefow ...
if it has typo's instead of bugs i'm gonna like this
edit: okay so i'm on chrome now
the skin isn't my style really but yea it'll do
i'm used to working on firefox and this one thing i cant find on this thing is a homepage button wich actually annoys me, you gotta activate it first in options yeh...
my version is in Dutch cuz i'm Belgian and here i type in english so everything here is underlined red cuz the program sees it as a typo and i don't see any option to disable this spell checker
and the pop up blocker is shit
if i want pop up's blocked i want them blocked and no message whatsoever about a pop up being blocked
i'll stay with FF3 until this works optimally

So, that's 21ms in Firefox? You realize, of course, that that is 0.021 seconds - I think I can wait that long!

So far I love Chrome, but until its mainstream and at least most websites accept it as a full fledged browser, I may wait to actually use it as my default.
dragging independent tabs out of the window to make new windows? my browser bar works equally as the worlds greatest search engine YES PLEASE

I installed Chrome on one of my spare PCs, and tested it with 70 tabs against 70 tabs in Firefox. I admit, Chrome is much faster than both Firefox 3 and Firefox 2 running FasterFox on turbo-charged, and the Incognito browsing, interfacing with Acrobat Reader, and inherent proxy and pop-up hiding are welcome features, but there are still many problems with the browser.
First, on laptops the scroll bar does not work for scrolling up. Next, the EULA completely contradicts Google's claims that Chrome is open source. It reserves all rights in Google to do what they want, even copyright your add-ons, extensions and themes that you create for the browser. It even gives them the right to lift the add-ons you make from your computer without you even knowing. If it interfaces with the browser, Google claims it as their own. Third, it isn't convenient as of yet due to being in beta and not having any applicable add-ons or extensions.
On a final note with all of the rumors of back door deals with the FBI, I'll be suspicious of the browser as a government monitoring trap until we get the source code upon official release.
Final verdict: Chrome = faster than FF with some good inherent properties right off the bat. Chrome = uninstalled for not yet being convenient to use and possibility of being a form of government monitoring.

I know about 30 people who's scrollbars on their touchpads don't work for up-scrolling. It's a major problem according to the discussion on the Wiki as well.
Scroll works with mice, however.

Honestly... who comes up with these names. -.-
Black > Chrome/Silver
And does Chrome have Mouse Gestures?
Download manager?
Spelling Check?
Script Check?
Built-in IRC client?
Built-in e-mail client?
Custom Skins?
One click auto login (clicking one button to log into a site or forum)
If so... get me the download link!!!

Do the words 'beta testing' mean anything to you?
Firefox had no add-ons or extensions when it debuted, Chrome is no different.

I wasn't talking about add-ons or extensions, I'm talking about features
For example, Opera requires almost no add-ons because it has everything built-in already by the developers.
And with a beta test these features are suppose to be tested.

That's where the EULA comes in.
All of those 'features' will end up being created by users for Google to steal and implement in the browser.
Lack of features doesn't change the fact that multithreading tabs as separate processes is innovative and the browser is much faster than others.
Either way, here's hoping Chrome isn't FBI monitoring.

Yeah that's pretty much it, let's completely ignore a COMPLETELY 100% NEW way to do tabs (each in its own process) which prevents the browser itself from crashing due to linearity tab model (in normal browsers if one tab hangs or freezes or crashes, they all do. One process.), sandboxing which in itself makes the browser a gajillion times more secure than all the other ones, improve Javascript handling (I literally had a 5x performance increase on one of my fav. java games.), the omnibox, etc.
This is the fastest and most secure browser atm, because of all of the above. Once it gets AdBlock & NoScript plugins (already being worked on), it'll stop blowing FireFox and Opera out of the water in speed & security and blow them out of the universe.
And I'm not even a google fanboy, I really hate Google.

I'm having the scrolling issue. Looks like they're working on it, though...they've assigned the problem. I already love it, though.
